First Day on the Job

l Ice Crew au l Arber x Ruby l masterlist l

The first time Ruby stepped onto the ice at the Bell Centre she was nervous as hell.

With no idea what she was really doing, Ruby was handed a shovel and told to follow the person in front of her. She kept her head up and shovel on the ice as she pushed the snow from one end of the sheet to the other.

The three tv timeouts in the first went smoothly. She was getting the hang of it.

Sometime during the second. Ruby broke her focus once and down at her pile of snow, when the blade of the shovel hit the blade of someone's skate. Shit.

Ruby looked up and it was someone in red, it was a Habs player. Shit shit shit. Number one rule don't get in the way of a player and she just hit one.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to." Ruby quickly profusely apologized. A slight blush crept on her cheeks, one that could be chalked up to the chill on ice level, but they both knew what it was.

"Hey, no it's all good. No harm no foul." The tall player in red skated next to her until they reached the red line. Where he sorta waited until she came back around for the second lap.

"Hey!" He smiled as she passed him.

"Hi!" Ruby flashed her smile right back at the player in red.

"What's your name?!" He called out after her.

The tv timeout was over, Ruby was going to have to wait until the next timeout in a few minutes to respond to him. Her player didn't come out for the next and last timeout of the second, her response was going to have to wait until the third.

"Ruby" She skated past the Sheriff.

Arber furrowed his brows, processing this information as he returned the to bench. He smiled to himself just thinking about the girl on the ice crew and her pretty face and name and-

"Dude, don't." Kaiden broke his train of thought by elbowing his arm. "Just focus on the game."

"Huh?" Arber asked, so confused about what was happening.

"The girl. Everyone can see you flirting with her. Don't get involved. It's just gonna be messy when you have to see her like every other night. So just don't." His friend explained

"I wasn't gonna, just thinking about it. But I won't." Arber promised. Kaiden nodded and they both went back to focusing on the game in front of them.

Event Story: The Crimson ribbon for Désir | CH1

In the windless, clear air, the gifts from the sky are slowly transforming the scenery around us.

That day, we caught a rare sight of snow falling at the Wizards’ Manor.

SHINO — Take this!

CHLOE — Wagh! It’s so cold~!!

MITILE — Shino, your snowballs are way too fast!

RUSTICA — As expected of Shino. This is a very intense battle, befitting the king of snowfight.

SNOW — An attack so fierce, all the while protecting Heathcliff and the Sage…. Shino, aren’t you going strong!

SHINO — Fufun. Did you think I’d hold back on anything that has “fight” in its name even if this is a game?

—Snow started falling onto the Manor a little while ago.

Many of us gathered together at the extraordinary sight, and eventually started a snowfight.

There was only one rule: ‘Magic is forbidden’.

SHINO — I am here. I won’t let even a single chip of snowball touch Heath or the Sage.

AKIRA — You’re so reliable, Shino…!

HEATHCLIFF — Leave the snowball-making to us!

Hiding behind Shino, Heathcliff and I made snowballs diligently, while Saku-chan watched over us.

SHYLOCK — Fufu, thank you very much.

There, everyone, help yourselves. For those who aren’t good with alcohol, I also made a sweeter, alcohol-free drink.
